For well over fithy years, jazz music and hip-hop music have flirted with each other on numerous occasions. When jazz artists began to experiment with sounds beyond free jazz and the avant-garde, they unknowingly helped plant one of the important seeds for hip-hop music. Hip-hop artists returned the favor in the 80's, 90's & the new millennium, sampling some of the most respected music in the jazz catalogue.

In 2013 Turtle Handz & kiza Beats (Petrified Minguz) continue this blend with a dose of old, new & next skool of beats and rhymes.
